Description
82-2052 Magnifiers & Loupes > Loupes with measuring capability
This special measuring loupe from Peak Lupe consists of a swiveling aplanatic lens (distortion-free image all the way to the edge), a holder, and a solid metal housing. The metal base features a scale with 0.1 mm increments and an integrated crosshair, which can also be flipped. This design makes it a product with many different application possibilities. The lens can be rotated 360° and allows for retouching work to be performed underneath it, for example, fingerprint reading in forensics or very fine work that requires excellent image quality.
The aplanatic lens system consists of two plano-convex lenses, arranged with their curved (convex) surfaces facing each other to achieve a distortion-free image with sharp edges. These plano-convex lenses are primarily made of glass. Aplanatic lens systems are used in magnifiers with excellent image quality all the way out to the edges.
