A foldable triplet loupe in a robust metal design with integrated LED ring lighting for both UV and white light (consisting of 6 white LEDs and 6 UV LEDs) for shadow-free illumination. The 20.5 mm dia. lens system used here consists of 3 achromatic, applanatic glass lenses (color-corrected and distortion-free), providing excellent image quality. Supplied with battery, USB cable (for charging) and case.

Uses include distinguishing genuine gemstones from fakes by determining if the stone has colors not visible in normal light, a phenomenon known as fluorescence. It can also be used for inspecting banknotes and stamps, and for examining cracks in materials.
This applanatic achromatic folding magnifying glass features a multi-element lens system that guarantees a color-true, distortion-free image. An apochromatic lens system is combined with an applanatic lens and chromatic aberration correction from an achromatic lens, making it particularly suitable for rendering the ”true” color of an object while providing a very good, distortion-free image.
