The Peak Lupe 2064-CIL-LED series measuring microscopes are equipped with both coaxial and side lighting. It is often not possible to identify surface structures with side lighting, especially on chrome-plated, reflective surfaces. Inspection is only possible when light comes directly through the lens. The Peak Lupe 2064-CIL-LED with standard base is available with a magnification of 40x – 300x. In combination with the MST stand, a 2x lens can also be used. When measuring objects on rollers, the microscope should always be used with the MST stand. The additional side lighting allows, for example, inspection when measuring halftone dots in printed materials.

The Peak Lupe 2064-CIL-LED replaces the older 2054-CIL series with an LED lamp and offers significantly longer battery life. A battery box is included with the microscope and has space for two 1.5-volt AA batteries with a potentiometer to adjust the light intensity.

The optical system is identical to the measuring microscopes in the 2034 and 2054 series. The base is made of aluminum and is not available as an acrylic base. The microscopes in the Peak Lupe 2064 series differ from the 2034 series by having an aluminum base and a modified focusing mechanism. Focusing is achieved by turning the focus knob, and focusing occurs via a rack and pinion system.

An eight-megapixel, miniature USB camera with a built-in lens and autofocus function can be ordered and easily mounted on the eyepiece using an adapter. This allows images to be displayed and saved on a laptop or PC either with the original camera drivers (English only) or with the metric BE software (24 languages). The images from this compact, industrial-quality camera are very impressive.
